Nurse Kitty - This Won't Hurt A Bit featuring High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Hello! I hope you're doing well! Today I'm sharing a card made very much in the same vein as another card I shared earlier this week. I was so smitten with the colors and the different elements I used that I wanted to recreate it, but with a little twist (cuz you know I never make the same card twice)! This card features the Nurse Kitty and Won't Hurt stamps from the newest release - Get Well Soon - by High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I colored Nurse Kitty with my Copic markers. Here are the colors that I used:

Fur: YR 20, YR 21, YR 23, YR 27, & Colorless Blender
Nose and cheeks: R 20
Bag: N 2, N 4, & N 6
Stethoscope: N 2, N 4, & N 6
Hat: R 29, BG 70, & Colorless Blender
Needle: YR 30 & Colorless Blender

I took this opportunity to practice a more advanced (at least for me!) Copic marker technique - coloring fur. I colored with quick, "flicking" strokes to give this Kitty's fur the appearance of fluffy texture. I did my best so I've very happy with it (plus, I colored it like my own orange tabby cat so she's extra special to me!)

I chose to add some texture in the background with an embossing folder and layered a piece of red and white striped paper over top. For some reason, the bow was really giving me some grief. With enough patience though, I was able to stick it through and eventually tie a bow that I could be happy with.

The Won't Hurt sentiment I heat embossed with white embossing powder on black card stock. But I was thinking though, you could totally change up the sentiment to something like "Congratulations" and give this to someone who's graduated nursing school!
