BOO to you! An Action Wobbles card

When it comes to Halloween, I am definitely a "cute Halloween" person, not a "scary Halloween" person, and the Halloween cards I make are no exception. This one features the cutest little ghost (who has a not-so-scary secret!) Keep reading to the end to find out what it is!

This card came to life with my desire to try the iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Gel. I've seen some pretty cool projects created with this product, and I just had to try it for myself.

This product is a permanent foil transfer gel that can be used with a hot laminator or Minc machine and Deco Foil Transfer Sheets. Using the Flying Bats stencil by Newton's Nook Designs, a palette knife, and the gel, I applied it to a piece of black card stock.

TIP for using stencils: For a super crisp image, spray the stencil with temporary adhesive. Check out this blog post for more information about how I use temporary adhesive with stencils.

I let the gel dry for a couple hours, until it was completely clear, then ran it through my Heidi Swapp Mini Minc Foil Applicator machine with black foil.

The results are amazing! The foil only sticks to the dried gelled areas! The black foil on black card stock created a subtle tone-on-tone effect (which is exactly what I wanted). But imagine how striking your projects could be with different colors of card stock and foil!

I cut the Simon Says Stamp Ghost Boo die cut from white glitter card stock, and then again with orange card stock so that the "BOO!" would stand out a little more. I added a black stitched rectangle scallop frame by My Favorite Things and the "trick or treat" sentiment from the Handlettered Halloween stamp set by Simon Says Stamp to finish it off.

But my favorite part about this card is the ghost's lil' secret - it wobbles! I attached the ghost die cut to the card with an Action Wobbles mini action spring by Hampton Art. This nifty little spring makes the ghost shake like crazy! Check it out!

The Action Wobbles spring adds such a cute effect to this card! Plus, it's very thin and lightweight so I could definitely send this card through the mail.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! There are many more Halloween cards to come so please subscribe by email to get informed with my newest post!
