Which witch is which? Witch Legs card featuring stamp and die set by Stamplistic

Hi! I'm back with another Halloween card blog post, and these may be my favorite Halloween cards yet! The cards I created feature the W.E. Legs (Witch Elf Legs!) stamp and 7-piece layering die set by Stamplistic. These cards were inspired by the wonderfully talented and always hilarious Ken Hess of Ken's Kreations. You can check out his YouTube video here.

I love how these cards turned out! At the moment, my style has been leaning toward "heavily embellished," and these cards certainly fit the bill. But I totally love it!  😂😂😂

It's been quite a while since I've done any paper layering projects, but this stamp and die set is just perfect for this technique. Paper layering is the process of compiling different pieces of paper together, usually with at least one layer, to form a single, unified image. This process allows the creator to differentiate or highlight specific aspects of the completed image by using different types of materials, colors, textures, etc.

This can sometimes be a lengthy process because there can be many different elements to a single image. However, the end result is completely worth it! The image by itself is a work of art all on its own. Then, put that layered image on a card, and you've created a very, very special gift for someone.

For this project, the papers I used were from the 6 x 6 Spooky Halloween Mat Stack and the 6 x 6 Fall Glitzy Glitter Mat Stack from DCWV. I like using papers from the same collection because it takes the guesswork out of color coordinating your paper pieces.

To add even more interest to the boots, I heat embossed the shoelaces with Ranger Black Embossing Powder. The upper part of the boots are cut from black, glossy vinyl - I used Oracle 651.

Each card also has jewel embellishments by Little Things From Lucy's Cards. The sentiment is from the BWAHAHA stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing powder.

And because I just couldn't help myself, I had to add some foil! (I love foil if you couldn't tell!) I used the Cobwebs & Cauldrons Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheets. This was my first time using Toner Sheets, and I was so impressed. The result is absolutely stunning! The Deco Foil Transfer Sheet colors I used were Spring Green, Purple, and the Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils in Dazzling Orange. For foiling, I use my Heidi Swap Mini Minc Foil Applicator, but many people say they have success using a laminator.

So.... what do you think? I absolutely love them! Be sure to stay tuned for next week's cards, which also feature Deco Foil and show you an awesome trick so you don't waste your foil!

Subscribe by email (located in the right sidebar menu on the desktop website) to get an email notification of a new blog post - then you won't miss anything, because I definitely will be using this set again to create elf legs! Thanks for stopping by!
