Fall Wishes Coffee Card and foil WITHOUT a laminator

Hello all! I'm super excited to share this coffee card I made using the Fall Wishes digital stamp set by Graciellie Design. I previously created a coffee card with her Hello Sunshine digital stamp set (visit THIS blog post to see it). I decided that this time around I would bust out my watercolors!

For this card, I mainly used the Prima Marketing Confections Odyssey Watercolor Collection. I wanted the coffee in the cup to have a slightly shimmery look, so I used a few colors from the Shimmering Lights Collection. And to give just a very subtle shading to the coffee cup, I mixed gray and lavender together from the Classics and Pastel Dreams Collections.

For the overall coloring, I used a Prima Marketing water brush pen, and for detailed coloring I used a fine tip Pentel Arts Aquash Brush. To watch a short video of how I colored this image, visit THIS Instagram post to see it in high speed.

Watercolor is a medium I am learning more and more how to become comfortable with. And what better way to acquaint myself with watercolor than to do it regularly?! Thus, I am participating in Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker. The challenge is to find time to color every day for 30 days. It's free to join, so what do you have to lose?! Join me - coloring is fun!

I also wanted to share with you how you can use foil on your projects WITHOUT a laminator or Minc machine. You know that I'm just in love with foil on my projects lately, and there are many different ways you can use it! With this method, you may already have the main ingredient - double-sided adhesive.

That's right - foil will stick to double sided adhesive like the Scor-tape I used in my project. Just lay down the strips, peel off the backing, burnish the foil over it, and peel. Watch my video below to see for yourself. Or you can view this video on my YouTube channel.

To complete this card, I had my Silhouette Cameo 3 cut out the coffee cup, and then I layered a sentiment from an old TPC Studio stamp set that I had from my stash. I resisted my urge to adorn the entire image with sequins, and instead stopped myself at three! The sentiment is die cut with one of the rectangles from the Honey Bee Scallop A2 Card Frames Die set.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I'm just having a blast sharing these projects with you! To see more, let's connect on social media -
