Copic on Kraft - Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Yoga Pants!

Hello again! Today I have a quick card share for you. I decided to do things a little differently with my Copic markers - by changing up the paper I usually use. For today's card I'm using the Pumpkin Spice stamp by Art Impressions and Simon Says Stamp. Art Impressions has a collection of Girlfriends stamps that feature quirky characters and sentiments, which is what I totally love about them. This stamp is no exception!

I stamped this image with my mini MISTI stamping tool in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. If you plan on coloring with alcohol-based markers like Copics, it's important to stamp with a Copic-safe ink, like Memento. That way the ink of the stamped image won't smear when you're coloring.

Instead of stamping on white paper however, I stamped this on Neenah Desert Storm card stock. Coloring with the Copic markers on kraft paper gives you a different end result - I think the colors are a little more subdued. For some cards and images, this may be exactly what you want. And sometimes it's fun just to do things a little differently - just to keep things interesting!

After coloring the image, I added a stitched edge (with the My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle die) and mounted it on a piece of white craft foam with Scor Tape. This just pops the card up off the card base a bit and gives this card relatively simple card a little more interest.

I really like how this card turned out - the muted tones really pair nicely with this image. This is the kind of card I can give to someone "just because" or even as a "thank you" card with a coffee gift card inside! Below is a partial supply list of what I used, and links to where you can purchase them.
